About Me:
Worked with elderly and mentally challenged adults and children for many years. I got very ill and I'm now on disability. I have 6 children and 11 grandchildren and recently I was made a great grandmother. I feel so blessed and grateful. My Mom used to tell me she never had to worry about me because I was the rock in family and everyone came to me to get uplifted. I've had so much loss in the past 5 yrs. I'm finding that all these losses are bombarding me all over again and I don't feel like a rock, I need someone to lean on.
About my Loss:
My son and his wife of 12 yrs. moved in with me last year. I'm so grateful that I was able to get to really know my daughter-in-law. Last week she was driving and went around a bend and car flipped over and she was killed. We are waiting for autopsy report and I pray to God she wasn't alone and afraid. Was told she may have died instantly. I am really afraid I'm going off the deep end. Seeing my son hurt like this is awful and breaks my heart.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
