Profile Information

About Me:
I am retired but also a painter so that is a big part of my life. I am living alone for the first time in my life and find that I rather enjoy it. I also like to cook and bake. I like trying New recipes. I love to swim, read, go to church and talk to my grandson.
About my Loss:
A year ago I lost my husband and because vivid started right after that I had no group to attend. I sold my house and moved and it is very hard to meet people right now. In Nov my sister lost her husband and she was all alone so I went and stayed with her for a month. Last week my husband's sister died and I could not go. So I have tried to grieve on my own but feel the need to connect.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
