Profile Information

About Me:
I'm retired and live alone. I lost my mother last July and could not get there in time. We were extremely close. We spoke each a.m. while having coffee, lived in different states, and almost each night.
About my Loss:
Mom was 93 and I really think I thought she'd be here forever. A week before she passed an MRI of her brain came back normal and so happy! She passed of an aneurysm one afternoon. Even thought she was older you're just never 'ready.'

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
