About Me:
I am a mom of two kids, age 6 and 8..I am from St. John's, NL..I work from home and love spending time with my family. I enjoy writing, reading, walking my dog, listening and playing music, family time and exploring my beautiful province.
About my Loss:
I lost my best friend on June 9, 2014..we were best friends for 39 years and grew up next door to each other, she was my soul sister. She moved to London, ON 13 years ago but came home every year and we talked every week...she had planned on moving home soon. She died very suddenly..was sick with what she thought was a flu and woke up at 5 am on a Monday morning extremely feverish...she died 15 hrs later from an infection. I did not get to talk to her, to say good bye, to be at her funeral (my friends and I did hold a memorial for her here in Nl) she left behind 2 young kids and my heart breaks for them. I am having a difficult time dealing with the reality of this loss...thank you☺

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
