"I'm so sorry for your loss Kay. I lost my husband in 2015 and while I know you never ever get over a loss like this, you can get through it. I hope you find some folks here who lost someone in similar circumstances. Talking to…"
I never thought that I would be a widow in my forties. My friends can't relate and feel the need to comment on everything, even if they have no experience with grief. I know they mean well but only we know what we are going though.See More
My husband passed away suddenly in November, just a little over a month ago, at the age of 30 from a heart attack as a result from an overdose. He was battling addiction to opioids for a few years starting in college, which later led to him using heroine years later. There is too much pain and too many details to even get all out. This is just the surface. I miss him so much and I wish I could give anything to have him back and to have helped him more than I did. He was so ashamed and insecure about himself. He had a disease and wanted to get better. He was an amazing and loving person. He was my best friend, my first and only love and my other half. I’m scared of a future on my own, scared of living by myself and trying to relate to others that have no idea what I am going through. We always wanted to have kids as well, and now that has been taken from us. I am a widow at age 30, and what scares me the most some days is I have so much more time ahead of me to live in this world.

This group is for anyone who lost their parents at a young age. I lost my dad to cancer a week before the start of my senior year. It's been difficult. Quite frankly it sucks. Lets join together and get through this crappy time.
