Profile Information

About Me:
Live alone, retired, small rural community. Relocated here 4 years ago to be near family, mother and sister. Cancer survivor. Sister is 45 minutes away, Brother in California. Two children, one in Florida and one in Tennessee. Four rescue pets. Very positive person.
About my Loss:
I lost my 95 year old mother at the end of January this year. I moved up here to spend time with her and up until a year and a half ago we did most everything together. I seem to be at a total loss without her and I knew I would be. I'm the youngest of 3 children and at 95 she still called me her baby. Even though she was ill at the end and it was just a matter of going and sitting at her bedside at least she was there. I know all about her being in a better place and I really wouldn't want it any other way just want to know how to move forward and work thru this and need the help.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
