Hi JL,

I have read a little about the loss of your husband from your profile, but I was wondering if you would be interested in sharing a little more of your story with me. I am part of a research team at Saint Louis University that is looking at end of life decision making and family communication. If you are interested in taking part in an interview, please let me know.

Best,

Corinne Gibson

I am so sorry you have experienced this horrible loss.  May you find comfort in God's loving arms.  (2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17) ". . .may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and gave everlasting comfort and good hope by means of undeserved kindness, comfort YOUR heart."

Hi JL. thanks for taking the time to read my story and comment on my page because im not quite sure how this website works. I am sorry for the loss of your husband and your childrens' father. When trying to comprehend why God would take away such a young life my friend mentioned that GGod needs flowers of all ages. I hope youll find some comfort in that, even if its only a little.

Hi Linda,

I lost my father in April and now both my parents are gone.  I'm 47 and I feel as if my life were turned upside down.  I feel that my grief doesn't compare to others as his death was expected but I know that's not true.

I'm very sorry for your loss, and truly hope this site will indeed help all of us that come to find peace, and friendship. God bless you!

Yes, God is great! I do read alot of inspiration books, that keep me holding on to the promises from him. If you ever need to chat feel free to talk to me here. I do understand your pain and suffering. It will always be apart of our life, that gave us this tragic scar; however it doesn't have to consume us forever. We can move forward, and smile through our days, and help others, and be an example for God's people.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
