"Three+ years since my wonderful mom died and am so sad every day that she is not here for millions of reasons. But I heard something today that made me stop crying (as I do so often - especially on my drive home from work). "Don't…"
"She is still with you. She is everywhere. You will always be her best friend. Close your eyes, concentrate on the light. Find the light in your head - deep in your brain, in the center of your brain. Move toward the light that you see, and she is…"

I am 50, married, no children. I work very hard at my job and have a lot of stress. I'm very unhappy and lonely since my mom, my best friend, passed away on 11/11/14.
About my Loss:
My wonderful mom, and best friend, died on 11/11/14. I will never be the same, no matter how hard I try to be happy for the time we had together. I miss her so much and have a very hard time dealing with life without her.

"I really don't know what to say to all the newer people who come here looking for help and comfort because I have struggled for years. I did find an article written by a psychotherapist just the other day that made some sense to me about the…"
"I do not know how to live this life without my mother either, but if there is one thing that I have learned, it's that I have no choice. Life comes for you regardless of whether or not we want to be a part of it."
"I have been a member of this site for a few years now, and one of the most depressing things I see is people that are lost in the loss. I have many friends IRL that I thought I understood; now I actually do. Folks that still are single after 20…"
