An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. Slightly different twist, but, I lost my husband to lung cancer this past November...which means my 24 year old daughter and 26 year old son lost their father. I realize the differences between your situation and ours but the similarity is the grief! The missing that person. You have our sympathy and our empathy....
