About Me:
Divorced single mother of a 20 year old son who will be moving to Florida this Friday. Finally received my B.S. in Organizational Management while working full time. Such a rewarding feeling. Just wished my parents were here to enjoy the moment with me.
About my Loss:
Lost both parents within seven months of each other. Dad died of pancreatic cancer and mom to renal failure, 2005 and 2006 respectively. Mom's death was sudden and unexpected. As one of 11 kids at the time, she only confided in me that she didn't want to live without him. They were married for 59 years. I thought I was successful in telling her there was still life left but I can only imagine being with the same man since the age of 17 probably would have made me question going on too. She didn't listen to me and just gave up on life......it really hurt me watching my father suffer with cancer but it angered me when my mom died. I was devastated when my father died and then she leaves me knowing how she knew I couldn't deal with losing them both....

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
