Profile Information

About Me:
I am a 78-year-old woman who suffers from chronic pain and a lot of other health issues.
About my Loss:
I lost my best friend of 65 years a little over a year ago and just can't seem to cope with it. We spoke on the phone every night. I live in IL and she in CA. She was more than a friend, more like a sister. We supported each other, were always there for each other. She had cancer surgery and they got everything. She was in recovery and told her step-daughter she thought she was dying. They rushed her somewhere but she died from A-fib and they could not save her. Within 15 min. I had gotten two phone calls, i.e., she made it, they got it all and she is fine, then, she didn't make it, she passed away from A-fib. I can't think of her without crying. I miss her so. I think she took my heart with her.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
