I am a 78-year-old woman who suffers from chronic pain and a lot of other health issues.
About my Loss:
I lost my best friend of 65 years a little over a year ago and just can't seem to cope with it. We spoke on the phone every night. I live in IL and she in CA. She was more than a friend, more like a sister. We supported each other, were always there for each other. She had cancer surgery and they got everything. She was in recovery and told her step-daughter she thought she was dying. They rushed her somewhere but she died from A-fib and they could not save her. Within 15 min. I had gotten two phone calls, i.e., she made it, they got it all and she is fine, then, she didn't make it, she passed away from A-fib. I can't think of her without crying. I miss her so. I think she took my heart with her.

When I was twelve my mother was murdered then my beloved sweet grandmother died when I was 18. My maternal grandfather died when I was 22. I'm left with incredible feeling of loneliness even though I've been married for 20+ years and have two wonderful children. It's tough to share my true feelings with my wife because it's so hard…See More
When I was twelve years old, my mother was brutally murdered during a robbery of our home. I came within minutes of finding her body but by sheer chance I didn't. It has been over 35 years since that day but it still effects my life today. As a child, I went through the trial of the man convicted of killing my beautiful mother then as a man I went through his parole process finally his death from illness in prison. See More
