About Me:
Married for 39 years. 2 grown children. Live in Fort Lauderdale area for past 20 years.
About my Loss:
My wife wasn't feeling good on July 9th of 2014. I took her into the emergency room and they admitted her. On July 13th we received the diagnosis of stage 4 cancer. Multiple tumors in the gall bladder, bile ducts, and liver. She died October 30th. I thought the grief I was experiencing was normal. Now I'm starting to wonder. I left my job (im 62) teaching high school math this year as she needed full time care. The friends I had in this life were my work associates at school and outside of school it was my wife. We were best of friends and did everything together. I am at a total loss.

Bob, I lost my wife February 9, 2013. From breast cancer. She was my everything my reason for living. I too stopped work to care for her. My Mom too. Who was also sick. Has since passed away too. I certainly relate to what you are experiencing. I will sent you a friend request. Let's help each other.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
