About Me:
I am 25. I will be married for one year to the love of my life on May 24, 2014. We have two beautiful daughters (my stepdaughters) they are 9 years old (twins). My husband and I have been together for 3 1/2 years. I work for a University Police Department as a dispatcher.
About my Loss:
On May 14, 2014 my husband (fiance at the time) called me as I was taking the kids to school with the worst news ever. My father had two brain aneurysms burst and he was in the hospital. Not knowing his condition, but in my heart I knew what it meant I just did not want to accept the fact I went home and patiently waited for my fiance to get home so he could drive me to the hospital. I live an hour away from my home town. When we got to the hospital my father was not doing well at all and he ended up passing away on May 16, 2014 at the age of 45 and 8 days before he was supposed to walk me down the aisle.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
