Don't grieve alone; 14,000 members and growing
The Serenity Prayer God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen.

In the darkest hour when the pain is overwhelming let's realize this:
When it is God's time for us to leave this world, there our loved ones will be waiting to take us by the hand and lead us to Eternity. Meantime, let us make them proud by transforming the suffering into strength in their honor until we are together again.

When feeling overwhelmed you might want to try this:
Take a conscious deep breath, put all my attention on the air as I breathe in, hold it for a moment, then feel it as it comes out. If possible, repeat 2 more times.
It takes the attention from the chatter of the mind, and focuses on your true self.
Using the Chat feature in this forum is very helpful. It is a refuge from the world, and is in real time, with souls needing to communicate with others going through pain.
I highly recommend it.
Dear Members:
As we grieve our love ones, I thought it would be helpful to share the things we do that makes us feel a bit lighter in this sad time. If we share those things, perhaps we can help someone have a minute of peace from the deep suffering we are going thru.
I invite you to join us in sharing those nuggets to help us all.
