Diana Young, LD/N, GC-C, ORDM

Diana is a Certified Grief Counselor with The American Institute of Health Care Professionals, Inc since 2015. She is also a licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist for 30 years specializing in weight management, diabetes care, the mind diet and healthy eating. 

Diana created the popular website OnlineGriefSupport.com in 2008 with over 15,000 members.  Currently She facilitates a virtual grief support group weekly. Previously Diana worked for Cornerstone Hospice, providing nutritional care and grief support to patients and their families for over 15 years. She has also worked in hospital and clinical settings providing Medical Nutrition Therapy.

Along with assisting clients through the grief journey, Diana provides important information on self-care focusing on proper nutrition during the grieving process. 

Diana is an Ordained Minister since 2014 and performs weddings, baptisms, funerals, and church services. She is also a peer recovery support specialist assisting clients with substance use issues.

Fees (Sliding Scale):  .001 x annual income   Example:  36,000 per year = $36.00 per hour session (minimum of $25.00 maximum of $100.00).  Clients will be invoiced via PayPal.

Linda Engberg, We can talk about any loss during this meeting. Depending on the number of participants, we may be able to hold meetings for different types of losses in the future. At this point I have no idea how many people will attend, so we will evaluate and make adjustments as we grow. See you Monday at 7 pm ET.

Zoom Meeting: Grief Support Group Guidelines:

Keep your sharing focused on your own thoughts and feelings.

Limit your sharing to three to five minutes, so everyone has an opportunity to share — and to ensure that one person does not dominate the group sharing time.

We are here to support one another, not “fix” one another.

We do not give advice or solve someone’s problem in our time of sharing or offer book referrals or counselor referrals!

Anonymity and confidentiality are basic requirements. What is shared in the group stays in the group. The only exception is when someone threatens to injure themselves or others.

We are not to share information with our spouses/family/co-workers. This also means not discussing what is shared in the group among group members. 

Offensive language has no place in our support group.

My husband passed away

My husband passed away last Saturday after a long illness. His memorial service is next week. We have three boys, ages 14, 11, and 6. I'm glad I found this place.
