Keli - I think your tattoo is beautiful; what a great way to honor your dad.

a tattoo for my lost brother, he loved swords and fighting things, so thats where the idea came from. My tattoo artist helped me with the design, but i had the original idea.

Thank you, Cynthia. It's on my side, under my arm and above my ribs. I like it because it is hidden, and it is the perfect spot because my mother died from breast cancer.

The rose has special symbolism to me as it reminds me of my mother. Lavender was the color of my childhood and the gold ring is the only thing I have left that was hers.

Kathryn - Thank you!  I was referred to this tattoo artist; he has a degree in Fine Art and truly is an artist.  It took a while; but it was worth it.  I love it!  Thank you again.  I kept thinking that if Don were here he'd be saying "You're nuts" about getting the tat, but if he were here, of course, I wouldn't have gotten it.... I have a hummingbird on my other shoulder...

Cynthia, Your tattoo is awesome,  the nicest memorial tattoo I've seen. It looks so three dimensional  and I love the facial features.

Sibling Loss

This group is for anyone that has lost a brother or sister. Sibling loss is often minimized and people don't realize how devastating losing a sibling can be. I lost my older sister and my life will never be the same. She was my only sibling, I looked up to her, I went to her for everything. I lost my past, present and future. It is traumatic.See More

Triggers Continue to Surface

Late February is a challenging time of year for me.  Jen’s birthday is the 23rd and serves as an annual reminder of all of the potential that was lost…Her’s (mainly), mine, the world’s honestly.  This year she would be 52…It is increasingly hard to imagine, through all of the iterations possible, what she could have become, what was to be her (significant) impact on the world. That being said, things, emotions, have largely settled down since I committed a potential version of what could have…See More
