After my husbands passing I considered getting a tattoo to honor him. My daughters and I took a trip to Vegas to and on the way I was trying to decide where I wanted my tattoo. My first option was to write his name on my ring finger and the second option was a red heart with his name over my heart. While discussing this over my daughter put in a cd of various artist and the song that played was "sign your name across my heart" I think it was a sign since I was going to have them put his actual signature.

When my son Garrick passed away; my husband, 2 daughters, oldest son, and Garrick's Fiance decided to get memorial tattoos. The only 2 left to get theirs are my husband and my son.
My tattoo is a Teddy Bear with a halo holding a heart and it says "Sleep Sweetly My Angel 4Ever In My Heart"
My daughter Shantel has one that has her 2 childrens names around her ankle in a vine "Nathan" and "Shadie" then it goes down into a blue flower on her foot that says "Miss you Garrick". My daughter Rikki has a moon and stars on her leg and foot and it says "Miss You". Ashley his finance has angel wings and a halo on her back between her shoulder blades the halo has is initials "GJB" and his birth and angel dates between the wings "1990-2008". I will include my sons and husbands when theirs is complete.

I am new to this i already have three tats but was planning on getting one with my dad name on it and now I am getting two. Once I get it done I will have a picture to show. My plan is to get two large hearts intertwhined with mom an dad and date of birth and date of death. Even though dad remarried he and mom still loved each other. Also another tat of my loves name.

I have started a tattoo for my mom's memory - a calla lilly on my leg. She loved flowers so much. I don't think I will stop there.

this is my permenant reminder that my world has been disrupted. before this all of my tattos were meant to discourage contact with people in general.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
