Welcome,
I welcome you all.  I am sorry that it is under such circumstances that we have to be here, but I am hoping that we can all come together with God and help each other heal.  It is a terrible tragedy to lose anyone in your life, but it seems even worse to lose a child.
I recently lost my child after a botched gall bladder surgery.  You are welcome to read my story on my page.  I lost Brittainy who was only 18, in July, and it seems almost surreal to me.  If it weren't for the love of Jesus Christ, my family and friends and Brittainy's friends, I am not sure that I would have made it as far as I have.
I hope that we can all use this group to support each other and to honor our beautiful children that are no longer here in body, but are here in spirit.
May God Bless you all, and I will keep you all in my prayers.

Ann,

I know the feelings that you are feeling inside right now.  My daughter will be gone 5 months on the 23rd, and her birthday would have been on the 21st.  It doesn't seem to make sense to thank and praise God for any of this, but I feel that the Bible hasn't steered me wrong yet, and I know that it never will.  God just didn't always make it for us to understand.  I miss Brittainy's smell, smile, laugh, temper, voice, humor, love, gracefulness, and I could go on and on.  I am sure that you can relate.  Last night her best friend spent the night and she had downloaded a video on the computer that she found of Brittainy and her together.  When I watched it, it was almost surreal.

We WILL make it through this, and I feel that we were meant to help each other make it through this tough time.

Peace, mercy and grace be with you

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More
