My ex husband died in a car accident on Friday 3/20/09 we have a 2 yr old boy. I stilled loved my ex husband very much n he told me he still loved me. The last conversation we really had was a week before he died. He came to my house yelling at me and calling me names. I got a restraining order on him on Tues 3/17/09. The last time i seen my ex is when I picked up my 2 yr old for my visitaltion.

I am so distraught cause our little boy will be growing up without a daddy. Plus I am blaming myself cause our last conversation was on a bad note. My ex was only 27 years old and he had some many plans for his life. And i know he loved our baby.

Im sure he loved your baby and you very much and Im sure if he had any say in the matter he would prolly hope that you could come to the point where you forgive yourself as well. Its easy to second guess yourself, but ultimately you can't go back in time. I personally believe that most people are much harsher on themselves than others are towards them, so try to give yourself a little slack cause it seems like you are dealing with a lot with grieving a loss and raising a child. Im really sorry for your loss and hope you find hope and healing with all that has happened!
I believe our loved ones can still hear us and know the pain we are going through without them. I am sure he knows how you feel. Of course, that doesn't make it any easier. But just talking or writing through it helps. As well as sharing with others. (((((hugs)))))
I m so sorry for your loss. I know its the awful time for you and its difficult to deal with this grief. Loss of loved one is so painful to us. He loved your baby so much and I know you really miss him. Its your heart breaking. My heart totally goes out to you.

Assumptions

An assumption is an unexamined belief: what is thought to be true without ever really realizing that we think in that way. For better or worse, understanding starts with entertaining the idea that something is true.  Truly profound thoughts generally come to light from the relaxation of these (flawed) assumptions.  This is where I find myself today...Perhaps, one of the more significant drivers to pushing down the loss and grief at the time of the accident, ignoring it and mindlessly walking…See More

Sibling Loss

This group is for anyone that has lost a brother or sister. Sibling loss is often minimized and people don't realize how devastating losing a sibling can be. I lost my older sister and my life will never be the same. She was my only sibling, I looked up to her, I went to her for everything. I lost my past, present and future. It is traumatic.See More

Triggers Continue to Surface

Late February is a challenging time of year for me.  Jen’s birthday is the 23rd and serves as an annual reminder of all of the potential that was lost…Her’s (mainly), mine, the world’s honestly.  This year she would be 52…It is increasingly hard to imagine, through all of the iterations possible, what she could have become, what was to be her (significant) impact on the world. That being said, things, emotions, have largely settled down since I committed a potential version of what could have…See More
